Seatac Washington Retaining Wall

Dochnahl Construction constructed a wood and piling retaining wall in back yard of a Seatac home.  The yard had almost 2’ of slope in less than 20’ rendering it tough to use.  The owner contacted a few different contractors with both vague and inefficient ideas to extreme over designed ideas.  We came up with this simple and cost effective solution to level out his yard.  By backfilling with Geofoam, weighing 2lbs per cubic foot, we kept the earth load on the wall to a minimum.  After the project was complete, the owner built a fence on top of the wall and landscaped with grass.
